Well, he sure looks like it this playoff run, doesn't he? Not to mention, he sure looked like it in 2012 too. Kopitar's problem is the long stretches that he doesn't look like it....like the entire 2013 campaign. Don't even get me started on his infamous 20-game goal-less streaks we have all become accustomed to.

Kopi is good, but this is just the usual praise from Wayne. Always saying too good things about someone.

Like all players go through?

Interesting article considering earlier this year Kopitar was "getting back to elite status," as if he had lost it. Now he's a top 3 player according to the greatest ever.

I can see why many would make that call. Toews is a more explosive player offensively, but I prefer Kopitar's 200-foot game. As for the comparisons with Crosby, I don't watch the eastern teams enough to really say.

Nice to see Kopitar get the super-star treatment that he deserves once in a while.

I still think Getzlaf is better than Kopi.

Agreed, he's more physical and dynamic. I'd also rank Toews slightly ahead of Kopi as well. His disappearing acts don't help, but I hope I'm eating crow today after the game...

I don't know about disappearing act, as any player in the nhl are due a slump here and there, but yeah, I would also rank Toews ahead of Kopi. Kopi would be probably a top 30-40 player in the nhl, assuming we're counting all the dmen, goalies etc.

Just because you don't show up on the score sheet doesn't mean you've disappeared...

He was pretty invisible last game minus that chance he had in the 3rd, and the PP was awful partly because of him. He's still leading in scoring so that's nice, but it won't mean much if he doesn't show up, and not just on the score sheet...
