Was this the Alomar moment that they needed?

Interesting observation. I was actually thinking along the same lines this morning. Also, many fans hated Cito just like the hate Keefe. In my opinion, it was the deadline acquisition of David Cone that put the Jays over the top; let's hope the same holds true with ROR.

I thought coming back from 3-0 to win game 4 against Columbus was.

Agreed, that's the problem. We've been here before.

And looking how they came out for game 5 in that series, I can only hope they have learned. But moving past the euphoria of last night's win and being honest, they've been outplayed much of this series and have had bad starts (being generous here as 2+ periods is longer than a "start") in 3 out of 4 games.

My best guess based on recent & past performance is that on Thursday either the Bolts will dominate most of the game but the Leafs will come back yet again, or the Bolts will dominate most of the game and the series is headed back to Tampa.

Pretty good comparison.

We can all hope it is.

that was great. Eckersley was being a dick and taunting the Jays dugout in that game as I recall.
Yep. Top of 8th he pointed and stared into the dugout after striking out someone to end the inning

Not defending their play in that game 5 against Columbus, but let's not forget that game 5 was a back to back. They gave everything, supposedly, to win game 4 and had nothing for game 5. This win, they did it without have to pull the goalie, without needed to burn that extra fuel just to tie it. And they get 2 days off now anyways to rest and refocus.

These questions can't be answered until the Leafs close out. And then take a breath to celebrate, reground and realize that's only 25% of the journey. One step at a time.
