Want to go to my first game at MSG, visiting Atlantic Highlands NJ.. how to?

I'll be staying in Atlantic Highlands with Family. I don't know NY/NJ much. Tickets for the Van 11/30 game are a little pricey for me so i'm considering the Game the following monday vs Winnipeg. But Seastreak stops service from manhattan at 9pm.

Is it possible to get to Atlantic highlands relatively easy from MSG? Sorry for asking this as a dumb tourist but I don't know who else to ask.. What are my options?

Yeah NJT is your best option, make sure to buy your tickets before you get on the train to save $5. You probably should have someone pick you up at the station, you'll be getting off at Red Dog most likely. Not sure where you are in regards to the station or if there are cabs readily available there.

Actually, North Jersey Coast line goes straight to Penn Station MSG without needing to change trains.

There is no station in the Higlands but if you drive 15 minutes Northwest on the main drag down there (Rte 36) can easily get to the Hazlet Station. From there, you are about a 75 minute train ride from MSG.
