Was Seva really that terrible or was Chad just out of his mind?

I suspect that Chad is using whatever data service his website is using to make a statement to track the Amerks to make that statement about Komarov. He looks like a 20-year old in his first AHL season to me - there are moments when it's chaos, there are moments when he's fine. I've missed three Amerks games, I don't see some glaring issue. *shrug*

Then Chad just panics, This is his first season at this level and of course there will be mistakes.

I wonder sometimes if he gets that he creates some of what becomes the Twitter echo chamber. It's one thing to say "he's got work to do" vs. "I have serious doubts Komarov plays a single NHL game".

I saw the tweet, but none of the back story. Is there any chance he was just talking about this year? That I could pretty much agree with.

Just like his first goal - camped at the net with his stick available for the shot option - his second goal is something one would expect out of a winger - a little drag into open ice at the faceoff dot and a quick wrister.

I know someone said something about wondering if he would even ever be an NHLer and that is the sort of knee jerk early assessment that is just not helpful to the conversation. And yes, by someone, I am referencing Chad on Twitter.

Not defending Chad but is there anyone outside of the Sabres org who thinks he'll be an NHL player? Everyone is impressed by his growth, considering where he was a few years ago, but it doesn't seem like the Bakers, Wheelers, or Pronmans of the world really have high hopes either. Even listening to Prospal, there seems like a long list of things that still need to go right for him to even have a chance.

Everyone including EP (and me just from watching him) has similar assessments - the thing that is his biggest inhibiting factor are his boots. They are too heavy and he needs to improve his skating.
