love to see those kind of goals as well...speed through the neutral zone attack the puck and make your move around the defenseman without slowing, stuff that you need to do in the NHL to finish those kind of chances.

Now that defender did really eff up their positioning but Kravtsov identified it, made one quick move without wasted time or momentum and then finished the play

Real glad he's doing well

Surprised at this emergence. Happy as hell but didn't count on it. Even outside of the goals, he looks great.

This kid is flying around the ice out there. He's been their best player in the games I got to watch. Impact in all three zones. Rangers brass have to be through the roof with his early season performance.

You wonder if getting in the camp with the Rangers was helpful. He got an up close look at guys like Zibanejad and Panarin, how they operate and what he needs to do to make it to the next level. Those 4 weeks of camp may have done him wonders.

It probably helped, and helped the Rangers give him some guidelines on what to work on and what they want to see out of him for next season

Real interested to see how this goes whenever next season gets underway...I don't want there to be some big kerfluffle with the KHL but if training camp starts in November/December, do they pull him over? Or let him finish out the KHL season and come over in Feb?

Looks like more of the same from the preseason. Too fancy and tries to dangle around everyone. Those plays don't work in the NHL. Just wait until the first time he tries that against a real NHL dman? They'll step up on him and knock him right off the puck. I'd rather see him more engaged physically and making strong plays on the boards and in front of the net than trying all these roller hockey moves against low quality dmen.

If you're talking about that goal this is a real bad take

e: he took what the defenseman gave him, made the worlds most simple but effective deke to get past, and finished the play. Those are exactly the kind of "skill" plays you need to use in the NHL. He didn't try to beat the defenseman 5 different ways, he didn't dance around, he made one simple move to take advantage when he saw the defenseman was out of position.
Now in the NHL is that defenseman out of position that badly? Maybe, maybe not, NHL defensemen aren't always in perfect position either, but ultimately all of the best players in the NHL know how to take advantage when they see one like that

Really hoping this is a sarcastic post because of how bad of a take it is on Kravtsov's early season start. The first thing that we noted from watching the first two-three games was his straightline driving to the net, board play, backcheck and forecheck.

On top of that, his goals have been mixed. A couple in front of the net and a couple of absolute snipes on goalies. He's diversifying his goal scoring. He's been driving the net, which is a nice change.

and another one. Didn't have much room to bury that either. like i said 80 percent of his teams goals sounds about right

Imagine if anyone else on Traktor was actually good? He’d have 3 4 assists to go with those 4 goals

And Traktor would have a couple of more wins. Their coach is know for implementing a structured defensive system so low goals against is not surprising but they have a better roster by KHL standards to put up only 2 goals per game. They brought in a lot of new players, their preseason was far from perfect due to covid factor etc, so I'm just waiting for them to start developing chemistry and clicking better. Still I completely agree Kravtsov deserves at least a few assists with some better puck luck by his linemates.

Good, let him dominate and Traktor suck so we can get him over as soon as their regular season ends
I see where you're coming from but I would rather see Traktor play well and Kravtsov play even better to generate confidence all the way around. I'm not rushing this kid back. Maybe this year in the KHL would be blessing with maybe some playoff success for him there as well.
