I’ve seen more flashes from Kravtsov than I have in Chytil’s career. I don’t know what VK’s ceiling is but it’s easy to see he’s a player. The way he skates, makes quick decisions, and still plays a 2-way game is very impressive.
21-yo center scoring over 0.5 ppg is nothing to sneeze about. Forget even that this season included coming back from (likely not 100% healed) broken hand, Covid recovery.

Don’t know why you need to knock Chytil to praise Kravtsov.

I am so enjoying watching him play. To be that big – with an enormous wingspan to boot – and to be able to move like that... He’s like a friggin’ condor out there.

Loving that his performance in the KHL this season translated. I think he’s realizing that he can play in this league and so each game he’s playing with more confidence. Traktor has played a lot of important close games toward the end of the regular season (kind of similar to the games the Rangers are playing now to stay close to Boston) so that experience definitely helps. Kravtsov looked really good in those games.

Skating-wise I think the only area that will improve with maturation / gaining physical strength and training is his first couple of steps.

I’m thrilled by his skating. You and I have talked about this but that growth spurt hurt him last year. Now he’s comfy in his body and his skating has improved dramatically it’s smooth now. I’m amazed at how he’s skating at this level. Looks deadly out there

Kravy is a beut of a prospect anyway you slice it, but him learning from a guy like Panarin can really turn him into something special. Like, you can't ask for a better scenario. Don't f*** this up Gortz, Buffalo doesn't deserve him

You would never know he is an NHL rookie out there. He's made a seamless transition and is very exciting to watch skate. He's not watching the play, he's forcing and making the plays. Funny how adding obvious skill, is making the Howden/Rooney 4th line seem a little competent if not borderline dangerous.

With what I’m seeing from K & K I’m getting more on board with trading Buchnevich for a sick return. I don’t think it’s imminent because of the amount of cap space next season - just give Buchnevich long term deal without NTC and there will be plenty of suitors once he’s made available down the line.

So many body movements and stickhandling I see from Kravtsov is Panarin-like, it’s uncanny.

Kravtsov is staying (living arrangements) with Bread, yes?

I think it's inevitable, but Blackwell has made a strong case to stay so far so it's tricky.

Also on paper they might be kinda redundant for the reasons you mention. They have alot of similarities. Hoping KK and Panarin eventually find some chemistry personally. Kakko is a possession machine and great on the forecheck, they just haven't had a chance to sync up yet by my eyes.

Lol, by staying I meant living arrangements.

I give you my well thought out analysis and you treat me like @Amazing Kreiderman!?!

But yeah, probably not. I'd like to think him, Miller and Laf are partying up in SoHo. A Yankee, a Canuck and a Ruskie growing up in NYC, would make a great sitcom. Tuesday is poutine night, but borscht Wednesdays are where it's at!

I don't think that would be the case. I think those traits could make that line dangerous, especially with both bread and him being so opportunistic. The one thing Blackwell has on Kakko right now, is that he is currently more opportunistic. He puts himself in prime positions to take advantage on a play. Kakko is still learning to do that.

Kravtsov on the other hand has a lot of Blackwell like traits in him. He's quick on the forecheck, gets into the dirty areas, opportunistic. The only difference is that he also has a much better tool box to work with. I honestly think having a Panarin-Strome-Kravtsov line would be very deadly after developing some chemistry.

Yeah, I don't disagree at all. Just basing things on how well Fast and Blackwell have been at doing the dirty work to create space for Panarin, but I could absolutely see Bread and Kravy having good chemistry.

Bit I'm saying is that I can see Kravy also doing that same type of dirty work. Maybe not entirely the same way that Blackwell does it, but I think how Kravy plays the game creates the a similar affect. I mean there is only one way to find out though. lol

Jokes aside, as you say theres only one way to find out but it's gonna be fun to watch either way.

Sorry, there’s nothing to add to or argue against your analysis.

Yeah, Kravtsov is no longer staying with a billet family. What is funny is that Lafrenière and Miller are staying with the same billet family as Kravtsov last season haha. So there's definitely a connection there.

Should't really like a top young winger prospect playing on the 4. line, but they get decent TOI each game. I feel Kravtsov has really changed that 4. line into a different animal 5 on 5. Ha made 2 players that on their best days are almost useless in the offensive zone becomming dangerous with the way he tok the puck and movedit and himself to open lanes for Rooney and Howden to attack.
