Shit, theres gonna be so much talent and guys fighting for top 9 minutes the next couple seasons I wouldnt even mind letting the kid just marinate in Russia for another year or two. I wanna see him dominate that league

His team has 6 more wins and 3 more goals in 22 fewer games than in his D+1 year, and yet he himself is only running 3 points ahead of his scoring pace from that year. I'm not sure he's going to be a dominant force in the KHL even if he stays another year. Also, if we loan him out again, we've exhausted his full ELC without him spending a full year in North America.

I'm fine with him spending this year in the KHL due to the unusual circumstances, but he needs to be back here next season. He should hopefully be more emotionally prepared for what's to come, and he needs to come over and learn to play here--and I really do believe he's a player who needs to "learn" how to play in North America. For some guys it's not so much of an issue, but he really needs to continue adjusting his game to what he'll see over here.

Thats fair

Hey all, just a question I have for those that have been able to see him play lately: is there any possibility that the injury he suffered a while back was a shoulder injury?

I ask because he looks like he could be starting to heat up again, but he's scored his last two goals on a really nice redirect, tip in and that beautiful backhand. Neither requires much power. Leading up to his injury, Kravstov was among the KHL leaders in shots per game. This has gone down a lot since he returned. I wonder if this could be because he injured his shooting shoulder and has lost some power.

Great clean stick backcheck from Kravtsov! Neutralized 2 on 1.

Traktor is playing in their last game this year against Avangard. 0:1 after 1st period. Kravtsov was on the ice for this goal against.

While there was very little information provided at the time, Traktor's team page mentioned lower body injury so it was not his shoulder.

Sedlak's line buzzing to start the 2nd. Over 1 min in the offensive zone with a couple of chances.

Another goal against for Kravtsov. After his shot missed wide Avangard went on another 2 on 1 breakaway and Klim Kostin scored. 2:0 Avangard. BTW Kostin (SLB prospect) who was Kravtsov's linemate during WJC is whooping 1+4 = 5 after 22 games.

His 4th goal overall in December. Still has 19 games left in his season. It would be very manageable to get to 20 goals from where he's at now, perhaps more if he goes on another tear like he was on in September.

Streak scorer. Just like many of the great ones.

Personally, I am thinking he’s going to assume the Kreider role on this team at some point - including the debates about expectations vs. results, scoring streaks, first line vs. second line, etc.

He’ll frustrate and dazzle, and pages will be dedicated to analyzing and sometimes over-analyzing his play.

8 goals in 19 games is not a small feat. This (without doing math) would be something like 35 goal per season pace over 82 games.

P.S. 20 goals in the KHL is a bigger milestone than what it is in the NHL. Between a shorter season and lower scoring it’s viewed more like 30 goal season in the NHL.

Geez, silly me simply hoping for Buchnevich level debates.
