Vincent Trocheck: From OHL MVP to NHL Hopeful (Interview)

thanks for the interview. hope he does well, but you left out one more center. scott gomez. think vinny will be in san antonio this year with possible call ups and hopefully he does well and makes the cats squad next year.

Is Trocheck going to end up playing center in the NHL though? It wouldn't be a shock to see him moved over to the wing. DT is building this team very large up the middle.

Stats per the Panthers site:
Barkov: 6'3" / 209
Matthias: 6'4" / 220
Bjugstad: 6'6" / 215 (kid needs to eat a few cheeseburgers!)
Shore: 6'3" / 200

Goc and Gomez are actually our smallest centers at 6'1" / 197 and 5'11" / 198 respectively.

I'd personally like to see both Trocheck and Grimaldi move to wing. Too much competition at center.

for sure, no doubt they both get switched to rw, at least i think its a for sure thing lol im really excited to see how trocheck does, especially with us being so thin on RW.

FWIW, I have Trocheck penciled into the RW slot on the #2 line in San Antonio as of today.

It's amazing that San Antonio is going to go from 14th in the West to probably one of the best teams in the AHL...Calder Cup will depend on how many guys get called up at the end of the season though.

I'm not ready to go that far yet (which if you've ever read my work or seen my Twitter shouldn't surprise anyone). In cases like this, I'm always reminded of a certain line spoken by Harvey Keitel's character in Pulp Fiction.

There is certainly some room for optimism, though. Which is a nice change of pace for us suffering Rampage fans.
