I feel like the Colorado Avalanche could be a good fit as a 1-year rental.

The team needs another top-6 winger, and Arvidsson's $4.25M salary can fit within their cap structure. I also think it would be interesting to reunite him with Ryan Johansen.

Kings have 4.5m in cap space and only JAD and MacEwen as RFA. Maybe we sign JAD for cheap and don’t sign MacEwen. So that’s a chunk left over for a 1G.

That 4.5 mil is with an incomplete roster. I think 16 players. Even filling the roster with in-house cheap contracts we have about 1 million left to sign a goalie and carry a second spare player.

That is using Moverare as a 6th Dman, Spence as a spare and Turcotte as a 4th line winger. All super cheap contracts.

Rob has work to do.

Semantics. What's important is he's a right shot.

In fact, if you act now we'll even throw in another right shot in Gallagher at no extra cost. These deals don't come along every day folks.

Thats a 16 man roster. Need 20 to even ice a team and should carry atleast 1 extra skater. That gives you an average of 900,000 per position to fill out the roster and carry an extra. You arent getting a goalie upgrade with that

And Bjornfot and you need cap space since both Clarke and Spence will likely start on the big club.. Blake already said this team is not going to field a 23 man roster

I wouldn't shocked to see the jets circle back after Wheeler is bought out and pick Viktor up, he's older but still has one year on his deal and who knows depends how he fits maybe the Jets sign him next summer to a couple more years.

Based off of when you are trying to move salary, you lose a ton of leverage and end up with shit returns.
