It was ridiculous. Seemed like every call they had to go over and check. And tonight in Sudbury, virtually every call was looked at again on review. The game ended after 10 pm. There was more reviewing than actual game play. Brutal.
Remember back when the league instituted "fast face offs" so the games never took so long. Now they throw out a player on each side every other face off. They keep white washing every screw up by the refs and changing the rules. Next season every team will have to have a lawyer on the bench to argue cases with the ref. It's ruining the game. And tonight in Sudbury, virtually every call was looked at again on review. The game ended after 10 pm. There was more reviewing than actual game play. Brutal.
Maybe they should have the jump ball arrows like in youth basketball. Just alternate which team benefits from each ref decision.Seriously. if an official can't make a solid decision after a minute (being generous) then for all intents and purposes they essentially just tossing a coin, figuratively. Might be more transparent if they actually did it literally. Who knows why they make half the decisions they do.
