What are your favourite video games when ignoring all gameplay and story elements? Criteria could include graphics, art style, music, sound effects, UI, fluidity, or anything else that affects the game's presentation. Feel free to post videos or pictures to support your picks.

Here's what I came up with:

Cyberpunk 2077
Sonic Generations
Persona 5
Mario Kart 8 (Pre-Booster Course Pass)
Cuphead
Psychonauts
Yoshi's Island
Super Mario Bros. Wonder
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Pokemon Emerald

Ghost of Tsushima and Red Dead Redemption 2 are the first games that come to mind.

Beautiful expansive open worlds with stunning visuals combined with a great score makes for an excellent ambience very picturesque and calming atmosphere.

Arc System Works and Supergiant's entire catalogues. For raw animation Zenless Zone Zero is the new high point in games.

Pretty much this, as much at RDR2 is a game, it's probably as much a mood, it's a game I boot up if I feel like meandering across the country side, with no specific aim or purpose.

Inside
TLOU 2 (in terms of feeling like a movie)
Geometry Wars
Mirrors Edge
Most well done sprite games like Link to the Past
Half Life 2
Team Fortress 2
Elden Ring
Okami

Maybe something like:

Inside
Kentucky Route Zero
Cuphead
Tunic
Celeste (although I'm tempted to leave this out because I don't like the more hand-drawn art)

There are some sprite art stuff I wanted to include, but there's always some element that looks off or the soundtrack doesn't quite measure up.

Also, Bloodborne. Obviously graphics aren't great, but in terms of art style, probably my favorite.
