While we're on the subject of vampires.... Redfall looks pretty fun!

Single player or up to 4 player co-op, which is what I'm all about these days.

L4D with vampires and what looks like permanent ability upgrades. Damn shame it’s on Xbox and I don’t have a pc that could handle that.

It's a Game Pass Day 1 release, so I'm guessing it will also be on xCloud? I've played through entire games on cloud gaming, and the performance has been excellent for me (use a chromium browser instead of the Xbox Windows app).

What do you need to play them, a Xbox live account? Is it still gold?

Just an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate account, I think? It's $1 for the first month, and $16/month after (in Canada at least, so probably cheaper in the US).

Even if you just subscribed to play a few games, over like 3 months the total cost would be around $35. Half the price of just a single game.

A full year is about the cost of 2 full priced games.

Marvel's Midnight Suns out on Friday. Love Firaxis games... their gameloops tend to suck me in.

Haven't been playing much Warzone 2 yet, since I've been grinding weapon camos in multiplayer (got platinum on everything and now 15 are polyatomic) but I finally just got my 3rd win yesterday after getting two the first day and none since.

But a big tip for anyone who plays it: if you win you need to stay in the lobby until the game kicks you back to the main menu (like after the postgame cutscene and the long list of players scrolls through) otherwise it won't count your win.

High on Life is hilarious! Man, the first few hours had me in stitches.

Talking guns. A hunting knife that gets sexual pleasure from killing. The dialog in this game is incessant.

If you like Rick & Morty, you'll love this game. If you do not, you will hate it.

I don't really agree with the last part. I do not like Rick & Morty but I love this game. It hits the same as Star Trek Lower Decks - making fun of itself and video game tropes but in a loving way.

The intro/tutorial (Buck Thunder II) is one of the greatest video game openings of all time.

I was genuinely laughing my ass off at Buck Thunder II... like, wtf is happening haha? Then all of the spam and porn popups in your HUD. Just so many clever little touches.

I honestly watched Tranny & The T-Rex for way longer than I care to admit!

Suit-O and the popups were fantastic! I've been watching chucks of the movie between missions, until I hit a commercial break and/or Gene switches back to tentacle porn.

I haven't gotten there yet, but there is an achievement for "spending 15 hours in the strip club" so I am sure that segment of the game will be incredible.

Disco Elysium? yay/nay...its 10 bucks on Steam

or how about Rune Factory?
No idea about rune factory, but Disco Elyium is a wild game. It’s weird, unlike anything else I’ve ever played. It’s probably the closest I’ve seen to a video game replicating a tabletop rpg.

The very first ‘quest’ in the game is to get dressed. It’s basically just a mini tutorial of how to interact with the world and equip items. Anyway, I decided to take my pants back off after equipping them, just to see what happened. I talked with some npcs (including a disastrous flirtation attempt where I told someone “I want to have f*** with you!”) and none of them comments on it, but eventually the ‘narrator’ said something like “if lieutenant Kim won’t say anything about your lack of pants, nobody else will. Why are you doing this, you’re only hurting yourself.”

For ten bucks, it’s absolutely worth a shot.

I love that there's a movie theater in the game where you can watch an entire trashy B-movie with RedLetterMedia commentary.
Too bad the game isn't available on PS5.

Disco Elysium is a phenomenal game. Lots of dialogue and no combat, in case that matters to you. Most of the dialogue is different parts of your personality in conflict with each other and giving you conflicting advice.

Nice change from the usual RPG tropes.
