Like when Montreal claimed him, Vegas needs bodies with their injury issues. Would not be surprised if he is back on waivers at some point down the line.

COVID and injuries. I think lots of teams are trying to keep young players in the AHL due to lack of games played in the last year and a half as well. Better to keep them getting big minutes and opportunity rather than a reduced role in the NHL
