The good news is, they finally fixed my home internet. The bad news is, I fell asleep and missed most of the second and third periods. Very frustrating when referee "game management" effects the outcome of the match. I give this game three "Babylon Fives" out of five...

The Prediction Contest for the game against the Hab Nots has been posted for your guesses. The game on Saturday is available if anyone wishes to make the GDT. See you then! Good night...

It's not sustainable...

Because the NHL management are killing the cash cow...

The Canadian teams...

East Coast Atlantic are Cable owning giants... not included...

A Fake pro league...

The Winnipeg Jets are not the Washington Generals...
I'm sure the NHL would be fine if a Canadian team never won the SC ever again, they think everything is rosy in the States cause they keep expanding but they have fallen behind in popularity to soccer in the States.

And that is because of immigration...

That's not the issue...

When you don't respect the culture... you kill it...

It's a post national... errr... international league...

It's all about money... organizational interest...

Small markets will tune out in time... because they are all just Washington Generals...

I'm not imagining this... it's real...

Greed is not good...

Vegas is pretty good - especially their blueline
They don't give you much - and fancy won't work against that crew - their dmen win most battles and they protect that middle ice.
It looked like the game plan was to dump and chase - we got the first part right but struggled a bit with the second part.
That game plan is not what we have been doing all season so it didn't come easy - but it goes to show that you can't expect to play every game / team the same way - and I think there was a lesson in that.

We got a point and probably should be happy with that.

Anyone else's interest in the season falling off a cliff these last dozen games or so? This is the first time this has happened to me this early in a season. It's just becoming obvious what the glass ceiling of this team is.

Based on results and the fact we simply get dominated by them for the majority of the games. We got small slow dmen and a top 6 that plays soft as a whole. Not saying we don't have good players we just don't match up well.

Credit to Vegas they played with a really tight gap. Close game where the jets were outplayed but it was decided by the refs so who cares.

WHA it is then:thumbu:

We were all kids... it gave us pro hockey...

It was super accessiable...

I saw so many WHA Jets games and Jets 1.0 games...

As a kid... teenager... young adult... 20 to to 30 year old... I feasted... things have changed...

It's becoming less accessible and an onerous evironment to compete in for Small Markets...

The WHA or emulation league isn't coming back...

Bettman and any of the long time crony's need to go...

Just got back from this one. Can not say it was entertaining. With 4 shots on goal through 30 I was screaming for anyone to shoot.

I think getting the early one turned it into a low event game. The Jets just seemed content to put the puck in Vegas's end without any pressure, and played strong enough in front of Helly to limit dangerous chances.

Refs stole a point for Vegas. :40 seconds of PP time vs a late 5-3. Who were the bets on?

Really not sure what that was for the GWG. Was there only 2 guys on the ice when the puck came to the bench?

I thought the 2nd line played stronger than the first line, but they looked small when the Vegas d started pinching down the boards. Namestnikov plays a good positional center game IMO. Perfetti had some jump and some battle in him. I like the way Chibrikov drove the net. Took some hits out there.

On defense other than Morrissey who always looks smooth out there, I thought Fleury played a well rounded game. It was noticeable how he used his speed to position himself for controlled exits, and to cover a lot of ice defensively. Thought it was tough game for Heinola.

Forever and always f*** Vegas, Gary's golden shower team.

The ref who called the penalty on DeMelo is 30 years old, he was with Kelly Sutherland today. I think Sutherland had a word with him after that, they cut to them on the short time out after the call. Inexperienced referee mistake I think.
