Apparently the Jets themselves didn't like their game last night, which I guess is a good thing. I really didn't think it was that bad.

Last springs annual playoff no show (from a 110 point team) finally broke me but I think in a good way. This season I am relaxed and enjoying the games as they come. As I said we’ll see if I maintain that new state when playoff time comes. For sure my expectations have been completely modified (lowered).

think I will have to follow suit as somebody who has been predicting them to lose all year long while saying the leafs are going to win the presidents trophy/cup is just not worth it

I don't ignore anyone because i want to read everyone's opinion but it does get tough sometimes when people are always bitter about the Jets. If we are brutal and have no hope for playoffs i could see it but when we are 21-9-1 and currently in first place in the entire league i don't understand it. I think a few on here would say ,ya but can we do it again next season if we won the Cup .

The only people I ignore are trolls and people who are disrespectful. I enjoy different opinions, and I've actually learned que a bit from people I don't often agree with.

A guy like gmoney for instance. We often have polar opposite opining but he always approaches debates with well thought out arguments and is always respectful. I'm totally here for that.

What’s to judge? All teams are now in the mid season grind stage where they have up and down games. Yesterday The Stars, Wild and Avs all got hammered by teams below them points wise. We lost in OT to the top team in the Pacific. We actually improved our position and moved 1 game closer to the finish line.

It’s the case of classic tunnel vision. 82 games is allot of inventory for a humans to consume so most fans don’t pay much attention to other teams other than when we play them, scoreboard watching, or TSN highlight pancakes.

All teams have a variance in their play from period to period, game to game, week to week.

Two nights ago when we beat Boston 8-1 there were very few comments on our board about how Boston had an off night and played like ass.

The ability to play a full 60 minutes every night is a myth. Mostly because there are two teams on the ice both trying to win. Just go to other teams PGT’s after wins and losses and they say the same shit as us after wins and losses just insert different players names.
The refs have it out for their team, if they could only play a full 60 minutes every night, when they win by a blow out its what did there team do so well without considering the other team might have sucked. When things are going good the good times will never end, and when they are going bad the bad times will never end.

Jets are basically in first place in the league but the path to that spot in the standings has a story just like the 31 other teams path has a story. The novel is bound in leather, each team owns a copy, and the title is “What have you done for me lately”.
