When Connor McDavid did not come out for the Conn Smythe trophy, it was very disrespectable of him, it makes it look like he thinks he is bigger than the game and bigger than all of the great players before him.

Also Leon Draisaitl is a bit of a sore loser, first about Vancouver's goaltender than he said this about McDavid not showing up for the Conn Smythe.

Edmonton teammate Leon Draisaitl said of McDavid, "I don't think he cares (about the Conn Smythe).

Leon you are not bigger than the game.

Maybe the hockey gods took their revenge.

Boo hoo. If his season of hilites wasn’t enough for you you and need him to stand next to Gary Bettman for 5 more seconds I don’t think you’re a real hockey fan

It was a historical performance by McDavid. He was masterful during these playoffs and was the only choice for the Conn Smythe.

Now, is it a huge deal that he didn't come out and receive the trophy? Not really. But it's just one more little indicator that this guy isn't in Crosby's class character-wise.
