Value is sorta OK, but totally ignores the fact that VAN has their own cap problems. Adding prospects like Kunz and Woo just confuses things, for absolutely no reason. Even Jost is not a player that VAN needs- a team like ARI, SEA, maybe.

To Vancouver:
Tyson Jost
Mathew Dumba

To Minnesota
2023 2nd Round Pick
2023/2024 1st Round Pick (top 10 protected in 2023)
Jackson Kunz
Jett Woo
Very bad proposal because it fails to consider needs.
Why would the Canucks, which has one of the worst prospect pools in the league, give up more picks to acquire a defenseman that will be UFA in a year..

Makes no sense at all.

Vancouver says no. Dumba doesn’t fetch that type of pick anymore. Maybe a lat 1st from a team that needs a RD. 1 year left on his deal. Has had injury problems. Two seconds maybe.

Hell no from the Canucks. There’s a thing called salary cap that the Canucks are already having issues with without adding an additional 8M here with nothing going out

Wasn't jost traded for as basically Nico sturm replacement? Was reported in the article an extension was offered to sturm, and him having said no, he was traded. Doubt dumba gets traded. He also recently bought a home here and moved in with his girlfriend. Dumba also has 10 team no trades.

Came in to say this exactly. Canucks need picks badly

Are the Canucks open to trading Horvat at all?

Apparently they are open to listening to offer on everyone except Demko Hughes Pettersson.

Though Horvat at 26 yrs old coming off a 30 goal season and probably the best face off man in the NHL wont come cheap.

Vancouver says no, but you can just have Jackson Kunz if you really want him lol

Bergeron, ROR, Toews, Couterier, J. Staal, Kopitar, Tavares, among others, say no.

Bergeron ROR, sure..

Horvat was better than Bergeron though last full season played.

This season Bergeron has Horvat beat with 938 wins vs 841 wins.

Coutuerier? lol 29 games

Staal? nop.... 57 percent like Horvat but Staal has taken like 250 plus less faceoffs.

Kopitar has won less faceoffs than Horvat despite Kopitar having played 8 more games. so no.

Tavares? same thing. has won less faceoffs, good percentage, but isnt relied on to be the face off guy much. Has taken 200 less face offs in 6 more games than Horvat.

Bergeron , Oreily, Horvat are kings of kings when it comes to the dot.

Go back over the last 5 years, and get a decent sample size. It's not hard to do.
