Waived multiple times and never claimed once. Run of the mill plug who has been quite useless but for whatever reason Tochett loves him.

So if you have a dinosaur coach who has love affairs with plugs be damn warned. Don’t claim him, your dinosaur will fall in love and play him over your better players.

...isn't he a half-decent Bottom Six plug??...always thought he was OK...

He's plenty okay as a bottom-6 filler. He plays hard, he's defensively responsible, he's got enough awareness on the ice to stay out of the way of more skilled players for the most part, and enough puck skills to keep the play moving.

But the "upside" there has basically been explored at this point, and found to be approximately "null". He's a great guy to have as that proverbial "14th Forward" though, within an organization. Guy you can call up and plug in pretty much anywhere and not worry about it. Won't do anything for you, but won't really hurt you either. Can kill penalties too. Seems to have really matured into understanding that's his "role" too, so he's not going to rock the boat, even if he has to sit out games.
