Mid round pick, maybe a little more with salary retention. Probably not enough to incentivize the Caps to move him seeing as they're currently in the middle of the playoff race.

A solid 3C with Cup experience, as a rental ?

Probably worth a 2nd, though Washington is likely to keep him as a self-rental for their playoff push.

wow so if Lars gets a 2nd then Rem Pitlick scores more cost less then Ellers should get a low 1st at least RIGHT?

Rem Pitlick is a runt who doesn't carry nearly the same two-way cachet and history of raising his game in the playoffs. Someone trading for Eller as a deadline acquisition at this point, isn't going to be doing it just for the points production, or they'd look somewhere else entirely. It'd be about getting a two-way presence with some size and a boatload of playoff experience to bolster their depth down the middle.

Pitlick is just nothing journeyman filler who has put up a few points with outsized opportunity on bad teams.

It's not 2019.

And playoff team 2nds aren't worth that much. :dunno:

Maybe with all of the higher-end options on the market this year, Eller's value would be depressed a little bit from there. But a deadline/playoff team 2nd isn't too distinct from a 3rd round pick. Quality rentals usually fetch at least that sort of value. And despite his production falling off a bit, Eller would still be the sort of quality rental depth that teams actually seek out for a playoff run. With a role, not just taking up roster space.

depends on if he gets to have all caps in the trade paperwork or if it's just the first letters of his names

Worth the same thing he got traded for in 2016.

Low first, two 2nd or a 2nd and a prospect/3rd.

Larsy is still a guy that can put you over the hump to win a cup.

He's the kind of player teams will want to add for a Cup run. I'd say a 3rd is fair. But sometimes deadline prices go crazy.

Pitlick cleared waivers a couple of months ago and is a spare part.

If you were trying to be funny or satirical, you failed.

He’d be a solid addition to the Jets bottom 6. Just don’t see the Capitals looking to move move him.

I’d like him on the Devils i the bottom 6 but why would the Caps move him while in the middle of a playoff race ? I’m at see them move him and if they did , I cant see the Caps willing to move him to the Devils
