Or are they depressing on purpose in the hunt to get some serious talent?

Losing breeds losing. where is the serious talent on Detroit or Charlotte? These kinds of teams have been tanking for years, and what do they have to show for it? We shouldn't rejoice. Losing is losing and it sucks. Period.

They HAVE some serious talent. But they can't get them all on the court at the same time because one or all of them keep breaking. But this is a good draft class so not a bad year to stink. I think if they can keep the young guns out of the infirmary, deal Poetl, Brown, and Boucher for picks and maybe somebody else's underachiever (think about how we got Lowrey) this team could be back in the playoff hunt as early as next year. But this year? Yeah, it hurts...but that's the NBA.

NBA is a talent driven league. This roster at best is mediocre. With some key injuries, well, you see the result. Securing a top 5 pick is the objective here. Don't make the mistake of picking outside that and relying on luck. That often leads to years of disappointment.

Do we think that Darko will just be a caretaker coach for this tank year, working to develop the young talent, and gets replaced by a more experienced coach to help turn the page next year? We'll see how it plays out.

Happy New Year and I am a bit sensitive. I have not being following the Raptos this year other than watching their win losses. I know the players etc are paid very well BUT it must be really difficult to go through so many losses. Perhaps it makes players stronger? :). Here is to better things ahead for the players.

Hey fellas. I’m not a close follower of the team but understanding what the direction of this season is I’m wondering if we have any pieces that you think will likely be moved at the deadline and what might be a reasonable expectation for a return on them.

Mitchell, Boucher, and Brown are very likely to get traded but won't get much for them.

Olynyk might get traded but not sure about him.

Poeltl is one that would get a lot in return but the Raps don't have a replacement for him and he's not too old either. The deal would have to be an overpayment by a team but I am unsure what that return would look like.

Curious what you think each of Brown Boucher and Mitchell bring back in trade.

Very little. Brown might get a decent return if they take on another bad salary but they don't want to do that from what I have read.
Yeah, hard to gauge the values on the expiring guys for sure…but man, I bet that cumulative 40m expiring has got to be burning a hole in the FO’s brains and pockets.
