Tough game, disappointing performance from Pascal and Fred. Did not have high expectations for this series, but did not think we would be down 3 games.

I know Masai is goated by our fanbase, but him and Bobby deserve some criticism for the current roster construction. Personally, it never made sense to me why the they thought Pascal was a good #1 option on a strong team, when he always felt like a solid #2 at best. That alongside the fact we have virtually no bench, which leads to our starters being gassed. Now we also have no first round pick this year. The front office has made some questionable moves the last few years, hopefully they are able to turn things around this summer.

The biggest miss is they didn't address the issues at center even after we came out of camp and Nick Nurse kinda made a swiping comment about the roster being what it was.

Before the season started the lack of physical center was an obvious issue and they did nothing.

This wasn’t supposed to be Raptor’s year, but improvements need to be made. Trade Pascals lazy ass in the summer and bring in a physical centre.

To be fair they traded a late 1st for a early 2nd in a draft that is supposed to suck

folks are looking to trade Siakim? Who can you realistically get to improve the team or if you are clearing cap space out no one wants to come to Toronto

There is nothing wrong with the team. We are just missing a guy with killer instinct and putting pressure on other team to double team.

I dont want to trade siakim or anything like that. Just hope Scottie develops into the #1 option fast enough so he can be the #2 option where he belongs.

To me Scottie looks like a future Kawai with a better personality.

Even the Bulls are about to beat Milwaukee, we're the biggest joke and disappointment of the first round thus far and it's not even close. If the Nets go down 3-0 then maybe they'll surpass us.

I wouldn't trade him unless I'm getting a top 5 pick back. Pascal is good as a #2 option come playoff time. A star needs to be brought in, just like when Leonard was dealt for.

The Raps were going to have a hard time winning this series regardless. We beat Philly in 2019 with some reaaaallly good defensive players in Gasol and Ibaka and a guy named Kawhi. Barnes being out makes a big difference, but have to agree disappointed in Fred and Pascals decision making late in the game. Team is still ahead of schedule regardless of the outcome of this series.

While I do agree that it seems odd to me that management wasnt able to get a good center option (even someone coming off the bench would have been good). That said I dont think Masai thinks Pascal is a #1 on a contender. Such players are pretty hard to obtain for us. The hope is probably for Barnes to grow i to the role and in the meantime build a strong starting 5 to compensate for the lack of a star #1 option.

The 1st round pick isnt a huge deal since all it is is moving down 10 spaces. For me the biggest critique I have is the lack of priority on center which showed in this series.

Losing right now hurts but I think its definitely important to keep this in mind. No one expected much from this team this season. The focus was on growth and even with the playoffs being a disappointment, a number of players showed good growth.

Do not trade Pascal or FVV.

FVV I'm willing to give a bit of a mulligan on as he's playing on a bum knee.

But Pascal realistically tops out as a 2/3 option on a title team - which he was in 2019.

We gotta keep things in perspective here: This was supposed to be a development year for the team and we made it to the playoffs as a 5th seed. Most of the team is really young - Siakam and FVV are the old vets and they're 26 and 27 respectively and we lost three guys in the first game to injury.

What we're gonna need is a

- Defensively responsible, versatile true center. Gobert would be my dream here but I doubt we get him.
- We need a legit #1 scoring option. I dunno if Barnes is that guy but man, did he look awesome in Game 1. This is the hardest piece to get in the NBA. There's not a lot of those guys available in any given year and they go really high in the draft.

Brutal loss. Siakam was so disappointing. Didnt score in the 2nd half and overtime. Thats just brutal.

0 pts in the 2nd half from our supposed max player

completely shutdown and out

the book is out on pascal - pack the paint and put a big guy on him and make him beat you with his jumper and when he turns his back to the basket to try and back you down with his spin moves, double him up and let others beat you from outside

he just doesn't have any where near the consistency of a kawhi or derozan to hit that mid range j under real post-season pressure

he and fred are supposed to be our best players and they got outplayed by harris and maxey and that's it, game over

agreed, obviously there are not too many teams with a mvp calibre player like embiid, but the softness of our roster definitely got exposed by a physically dominant centre and a gobert would be god send, but there's no way we are getting him unless we give up a ton and gut the team

Yeah i don't think we should overreact and trade FVV and Siakam right now. This is similar to the sweep by the Wizards in 2015. If the right deal come along then yes trade them but they are still solid pieces to have.
