I never thought of that, and what a great comparison. Love it.

Here's hoping Masai, Bobby Webster and Nick Nurse remain with the team for many years/decades to come. Masai has talked about building the Raptors into a big global brand -- all it will take is lots of time with these three at the helm for the vision to come to fruition.

except the raptors dont have to sell off all our talent because we get no fan support, and randomly win every trade as we sell off said talent lol.

My condolences to you for living through that utter bs. God I hated what happened with Keon and was relieved we were able to go fix it at least, I wasn't around for any of that, but he's still one of my favorites and was so damn happy.

Not just Keon. The way Sittler was treated was a travesty as well. Not to mention trading away a future HOF (Lanny) and an eventual Norris winner (Carlyle) for essentially what added up to a few bags of pucks. And then there was...well I could go on but its still painful to this day. Needless to say, while I don't like to speak ill of the dead, the day HB died was a banner day in my life as Leaf fan.

Yuta Watanabe (calf) is out. Pascal Siakam (shoulder) is – oh so close, but – out. Goran might as well be out.

Believe me, I know how you feel. I remember saying years earlier, that the day "that" happened, would be the day the Leafs would start heading in the right direction. And it wasn't long after that that Gilmour almost led them to the finals. Easiest prediction ever but still ...

The Raptors have all of their first round picks - the 2022 draft and all future years. We do not have our second round pick for 2022 or 2024. The 2022 2nd goes to a different team depending on conditions, but either way we don't have it. Second round picks aren't usually very hard to pick up if you want one.

I've read different things about the quality of the draft. Several of the names at the top are being talked about in a similar way to the draft we just had for Cunningham, Barnes, etc. I've read that the draft is heavy on big men. Of course, it's early November. A lot will change!

Ed Rogers stamped out the takeover essentially and consolidated his hold on the board and it was deemed legal.

Tough loss but I'm not too bothered by it TBH. Sure it would have been nice to keep the streak going but it was a great game to watch and had it gone on for one more second, we would have won. Cleveland is also fun to watch, a lot of young talent over there. We didn't play our best game but we played pretty good, we battled hard and Pascal will be back soon. Looking forward to see what we can do against Brooklyn tomorrow night!
