If we do make the playoffs, it will be hilarious to see how much hate this team receives from the American media, who have never liked the Raptors to begin with. We're always underrated as it is, but if we play Miami as the 8 seed, I expect the fools like Steven A. Smith, Skip Bayless, Charles Barkley to talk a lot of ****. I expect their predictions will be something ridiculous like a sweep for Miami with 4 straight wins by over 30 points.

Yeah, yeah pretty much. The amount of hate and times they attack Canada and Toronto is just absurd. I hate it.
Umm...you guys realize they are right about the Raptors every single year? Every year the American media predicts the Raptors will suck, fans get mad, but media is proven right. Heck ESPN seemed like they were right on with their prediction before the season.

Not sure if it's been said yet, but Wiggins won the Naismith Prep POY award.
Good for him. Wish somehow we could get him on our team.

Oh for ****'s sake, DeMar.

And another thing:

Stop ****ing pump-faking on every shot. The whole point of a pump fake is to sell the idea that you might be shooting this time, or you might not be. But if you pump fake every single time, nobody in their right mind is going to bite on the first one. I've seen DeMar, Lowry, and Gay all do it so far if they get the ball passed to them with a defender in front of them. Right away: pump fake to jab step. like clockwork.

Chuckerson, Lucas, and Bargs on the court at the same time. It's like my worst nightmare.

But on the other hand, how can you not love Amir?

I'm so rattled. Why hasn't Telfair or Ross played yet? Wtf

Ross is in now. As for Telfair:

I understand its a bad loss, but seriously.... I'm flicking back and forth from the leafs and raps game and whenever I flick to the raptors game, it sounds like Matt and Jack are mourning over a good friend who just died Infront of their eyes.

It's not that it's a bad loss. It's mostly that it's been a beyond terrible game in terms of execution.

It's like that 1st game against the Knicks, except that the Raptors are losing.

It's not the first time though. It seems like they always act like that whenever the raptors aren't playing well. Idk it just annoys me.

Anderson is 0-fer tonight with 3 boards and nothing else. He gets 20+ minutes on the court.

Ross comes into the game late, hits a 3 pointer, misses another shot, and is right back on the bench.

yep.

In fairness, they're not gonna get excited when the team is playing like complete garbage. If they were losing the game but it was intense/exciting like the Memphis game, they'd be into it. But this game has been brutal to watch on TV, let alone in person.

Was at the game, a couple points for you guys

1. I lost my voice booing Bargnani... like the guy is BRUTAL. It is even more apparent live. He can't shoot, doesn't rebound, doesn't go in to the paint (when he does, he seemingly goes out of bounds under the net) and he makes stupid stupid plays. He has no idea when to double team, and he chases the ball and leaves his guy wide open.

2. Rudy Gay went for 1 for 11, which is bad, but he didn't get any good looks, and when he had them, he wasn't given the ball. However not getting double digits in points when you play 42 points does fall on you.

3. I found John Lucas irritating at some points. He would run up, and not look for anyone, and would try and take a fast break 3 by himself. I think he needs to slow the game down when he is on the floor, we have Lowry for the fast pace ball.

4. Hated Casey's coaching tonight. He left Bargnani on for the majority of the 2nd and 3rd quarters, and some of the 4th as well. He had Anderson on in the 4th (referring to late in the quarter), he wasn't making shots, Terrence Ross should have been on. We were getting dominated in our end, and he still didn't chance things up at all. I think JV and Landry Fields should have been on the floor more at times like that.

5. Only two players I liked tonight, were Demar and Amir.

6. With John Wall, Beal, and NeNe, the Wizards will be a very good team soon. Their play in their last 10 games has shown how good they could be.

7. The majority of the Raps cheerleaders aren't that great looking, which was disappointing.

8. To conclude, the Raps need to win their next 3 games (especially the game against the Bucks) to keep their playoff hopes a lot. If they play at all like they did tonight, we might as well close up shop now and look towards next season

Edit: 9. The Refs were brutal for both sides. Thought they were worse for the Raps though. A lot of missed calls in Washington's favor.

Last night was a real kick in the teeth to our faint playoff hopes. The Raps always seem to play down to the level of the competition in any given season.

Apparently LeBron does dunk-contest worthy stuff during Miami's pre-game warmups.

Except now he won't because people are calling him out for doing it during warmups but not being willing to enter the dunk contest.

And all he's succeeded in doing is making himself look like even more of a self-interested and whiny.

IMO So what if LBJ does dunk contest worthy stuff in pre game warmups. Personally I think it would be cool to be at a game and see him doing this sort of stuff out there. I personally don't think to much of him either way but I do notice how much people love to **** on him for every little thing he does.

No matter what LBJ does people are going to find something to moan and ***** about. I don't blame him for not wanting to go into the dunk contest just as I don't see anything wrong with him getting the crowd pumped by doing these pre game dunks.

The problem is that he used to tease participating in the dunk contest (there were a couple years where he led everyone one like he wanted to participate, then didn't and got all pissy and moaning when he got asked about it after the fact), and now he does all the showy stuff in pre-games and naturally people are going to say "man, you should do that stuff in the dunk contest".

And then his response to that is to whine to the media about people hassling him about it and that he's just not going to dunk in pre-game anymore because he doesn't want people telling him he should do that stuff in the dunk contest.

If you don't want to do the dunk contest, fine. And if you want to entertain the crowds in pre-game, awesome. But don't get all pouty when people put two and two together in that situation and talk about you dunking like that for the contest. Just say "I'm gonna dunk in pre-game and I don't want to do the dunk contest, and that's that."

My issue with LeBron is that he doesn't handle criticism or dislike very well. It's the same thing with Dwight Howard, albeit with a slightly different end result. Kobe and Jordan (and I want to be clear here that I'm saying this in spite of venomously hating Kobe) took criticism of them and used it. They motivated themselves to do better from it. LeBron gets upset and lashes out. Leading to stuff like after the Heat lost in the final vs the Mavs when he tweeted that line like "tomorrow you have to wake up and go back to your crap lives, and I'm still me". He's had people in his ear telling him he's awesome since he was 13, so he never had to deal with early tests of adversity .

I don't blame him for not wanting to do the dunk competition. It's gotten down to zero meaning compared to when Jordan and even VC did it. No one cares anymore, maybe he'd add some relevance back to the competition though.

I don't blame him either. But to stop doing his pre-game dunks for fans because some people keep hassling him about it is petty and stupid.
