So many words are trademarked now. Team names are eventually going to have to look like my Gmail burner addresses to pass muster.
Scrap the voted-on list, throw it in the trash, where it belongs. Utah Rogues. Do it!

honestly Utah HC is growing on me
Do you wanna talk about the New York Jets and Texas Rangers? Probably not, right?Let me guess, you’re not a big basketball fan?
You'd think Outlaws would be more trademarked than Yetis. But it passed the test. I don't think that's the end of Yetis, the Golden Knights was also denied by the U.S Patent office. Maybe a briefcase of money can settle the dispute. This logo but it will be called "Utah Outlaws". Rogues sounds like a WNBA team.
I hate it even more than when I first heard it. It's about as original as calling your hockey team "Columbus Crew", in other words, it's just copying another sport. And not adding anything useful.
Who confuses a hockey team with a cooler brand... Seems crazy to me, also a bit weird for a Tibetan word to be owned by a cooler company such that another brand cant use it.
Now i’m madUtah Blizzard and Utah Venom: Both of these trademark applications were also refused due to a "likelihood of confusion" — with the trademark office pointing out many of the same issues the team has with trademarking the Yetis.
Yinzers love that allegheny alliterationYeah them and the Pirates never made much sense either.
Its Tibetan, double checked just now.I don't believe Yeti is actually a Tibetan word. IIRC their word for that creature would be Migo, which would mean man-head.
I actually addressed those examples earlier ITT. Check it out, you might learn something!Do you wanna talk about the New York Jets and Texas Rangers? Probably not, right?
The mascot can be Mayor Bee.
Maybe switch it up with a different music genre? Utah Dubstep has a nice ring to itThey should use the Jazz name and the same color scheme.
boooooooooUtah to be kidding me!
Utah Toucans! What happened to just choosing a bird or some other local animal and calling it a day? Why does every new team name have to be singular?
