Utah Hockey Club down to final 3 names: Hockey Club, Mammoth, and Outlaws (upd: Wasatch already nixed)

Rogues, Outlaws, Desperados, Marauders, Drifters, Spikes, Sidewinders, Hornets, Stingers, Hive

There, 10 better names off the top of my head :P

Also, a lot of people are wondering why they aren't considering a name that is used by another team from the big 4 sports... don't. Modern copyright would make this a huge battle. If not for this issue, absolutely include Raptors, Pistons, Roughriders, Rams, Lakers (lol), Falcons, Eagles (a nod), etc...

It would have been very cool in the mid-90's. "Outlaws" is right there with "Wild" as a team name that was pretty neat for about a 5-10 year stretch of time, but then never again at any point before or after ever.

At least the Wild named themselves at a time when Wild would have been considered cool. Outlaws in 2025 is a self inflicted wound.

We look like a clown show franchise with this crap but thank god they listened and brought back Outlaws. Just wish we went with a red/orange/yellow desert vibe for the colors which would have fit Outlaws so much better. Stoked to see the logo mock up on Friday

How do they constantly get rid of the only good options. Stop wanting boring names people... I thought Seattle awakened a new beast

it mostly was a joke but Im sure some people will joke about it that way besides Mammoth doesn't really flow with Utah imo atleast same with Outlaws

where are they getting their inspiration from anyways? using the logos in create a team in NHL25? pretty sure ive made a Bandits or Outlaws team before because the logo options kinda suck.

I can't believe someone bought a team without any idea of what to call it. all the names they chose have kinda sucked. I didn't mind Glaciers actually but still,

imo they need to brainstorm more

If you feel you need to say you are a hockey club, you aren't really a hockey club.

"Cry, cry Mammoth boy!" Thanks, but no thanks.

I guess it's gotta be Outlaws.

Outlaws is something you'd name a youth soccer team. I mean, I guess I'd take it over Mammoth by purely the name itself but would depend on the branding too. Feels like they asked AI what a 6 year old would like best between all the choices they offered.

They should do their fan polls with branding/imaging/jerseys along with the name. For example, I thought Kraken was was a very dumb name but they did a nice job with the logo and redeemed it a little bit.

They are doing that. They had mock ups of Jerseys, merch, and the arena with both logos that you can vote on and score

Outlaws? Yes....beyond the normal "outlaw" you picture in your head the Mormons literally fled to Utah as "outlaws"
