I really like Doan, and I thought either Kesselring or MavLam or Durzi was going to get traded, because MavLam is ready and that is too many RHD, so this makes sense.

It's a win for Utah, they get the best player in the deal and he's only 23 years old. I really do think now that we've got more trades coming because Utah has a plethora of wingers that should be in the top 6

Keller, Guenther, Peterka, Schmaltz, But, & Iginla, that is 2 wingers too many.

From Peterkas scouting report:

J.J. Peterka is a dynamic, skilled winger known for his speed, puck-handling, and scoring ability, particularly his wrist shot while in full stride. He's a high-effort player who is hard on the puck and effective in all three zones.

from Elite Prospects:
His unrelenting motor is a force multiplier in every zone. He's hard on every puck. He's an eager, willing combatant in board battles. He's violent, disruptive -- a real pain in the ass. He'll make second and third efforts where other players generally relent. He's rarely, if ever stationary, constantly scanning the ice when the puck isn't on his stick.

Too many? Teams usually play 8 in a game. Don't see any problems with those 6 forwards. Iginla isn't likely to stay with Utah this next season.

But, Iginla, Beaudoin and pick #4 in the pipeline. Looking good.

JJP is a very fun player. He doesn't give you anything defensively but he has a nasty shot and will fit in well with your forwards. Great ES production, keep him off the top PP

Sabres lose the deal on the value scale IMO but they needed what these two players hopefully bring so badly.

Has the potential to be Gratton-for-Briere for you guys, but I'm hopeful the Sabres will play better team hockey despite the value difference
