Kesselring could have been a solid bottom-pairing defenseman for the Oilers, although they desperately needed some forward depth at that time (Bjugstad trade).
I like Kesselring’s offensive ability and grit combination. He’s a unique defenseman.

Having seen this guy play in person at Mullett he is a defensive liability nightmare.
I’m not convinced he would be in the NHL if he weren’t in the Utah/Arizona organization

Saw 2 training camp games of this kid when he was Oilers prospect and knew he’d be an NHLer. Made an NHL club a year later and now has earned this extension.
Good price. Can’t go wrong. This kids still gonna get better.
