welp, we got the B's now....

so Donato (exams), Grzlcyk, McAvoy, Backes all become real options now...really wish Krug didnt just get hurt...

fingers crossed, we need one of these boys to come at least.

Not Krug this year. He and Miller were on the ice for the most 5v5 goals so far in the playoffs. Got steamrolled by Leaf and Lightning forwards. Still very effective but a bottom pairing PP specialist.

great interview by Kaner after the game

"I was mad at myself all summer long for not coming last year"...love hearing that, as he wanted to come last year but decided against it..and if the chance came again, he was coming...hope others hear that and wake the hell up.

Not liking the slow starts and brutal turnovers early in games. Would like to see more efficient 1st periods. Kinkaid could really steal this tourney. He has been great. Defense is still a concern.

Kinkaid's nicely dialed in. The defense seem to the puck is a pit viper.

well, back to back shutouts...I understand your point, but in the end all that matters is that final score.

this is a motley crue of defenders, I think they have gotten better each game. there is only 1-2 offenses in this tournament that really have me worried, outside of that I think this group can hold up just fine...maybe we get a Miller/Braun/McAvoy to come aide!

after the first period, things settled in. this was a possible trap game, and they stepped up and won another one. good job guys, keep playing your game.

also nice to get Kane and DeBrincat on the board as well..

I believe Ryan represents Sweden no???

Ryan is not eligible for Sweden. In 2012 he was in the US WJC summer camp but he was cut. After that he tried to play for Sweden but IIHF ruled him out. So he probably can only play for US in official tournaments.

I remember him not making team USA then playing for Sweden in a number of events. I don't know what the eligibility rules are as he has to have played I think 2 years in that country to be considered for it...not sure what he did in Sweden as I think the main issue was it wasn't 24 months...so since then he played US College, and then AHL, so you might be right, he likely can only play for the US if nothing has been changed since his ruling.

Either way I won't turn him down, he would just be near the bottom of guys I would want here to be honest..

Good to see on Twitter, some of the Panthers at the Kentucky Derby all decked out in 1930-40's clothes... Glad Trocheck, Yandle, and Bjugstad had such important events to not represent their country, watching horses run around in their own shit obviously more important than playing for your country.

Trocheck, Bjugstad, and Yandle - f*** you!!! hahaha
