WC: USA Roster

Does team USA play some exibition game before tournament ? I know that Canada play first may against Latvia.

USA Hockey has shown time and time again that they like to use the WC as a therapy for struggling players. Jake is going to need it after the game he had yesterday.

I would take Gardiner and run. He had a bad game, not all his fault, but he would easily play top pair with what we know of right now...he has been a good player all year, has always made mistakes that is his style of play, you take the good with the bad...but he has been a good soldier for team USA, if he wants to come, hell yeah, we need him.

Atkinson is a big surprise. This team is gonna have some firepower on the wing with Kane, Gaudreau, Atkinson, DeBrincat, Kreider. Would be nice to see a certain Maple Leafs C play too but I have my doubts cause he didn’t seem 100% healthy in the playoffs.

One of our problems has often been our inability to score in these past few tournaments. Not the only issue but on years we’ve had good teams lacking that third or forth elite scorer has held us back. Could be a good year.
