Terribly stupid move on USA Hockey's part. It's a great opportunity to sell the female game but not without Knight, Decker and Hickel.

I can't imagine that the USA sticks with this decision for long. This is just too good of a marketing opportunity and a chance to grow the sport. The fact that the NHL came up with this idea rather then the CWHL or NWHL going to the league makes this even more of an important decision to send those players to the Winter Classic.

USA Hockey continues to prove they have absolutely no interest in growing the sport of hockey. I wish we had a decently run federation.

Wtf. No wonder we can't win Olympic gold. Our management sucks, both at picking a proper national team and growing the game. Dean Lombardi's the only person who I can remotely trust at this point.

Whoever made this decision, GET HIM/HER THE **** OUT OF USA HOCKEY!

That is a very short sighted move on USA Hockey's part. By displaying the woman's game in front of a large audience could convince more girls to start playing hockey like US women's soccer team is doing. With more participation, the likelihood of finding star players to improve the national team increases.
