How has Caleb Jones looked this game? Some on reddit on HFOil tell me that he's been the best D for USA this game.

Looks like we broke down completely at the end there. Not a very good sign, but at least we'll need no extra motivation for the next game.

Its a pretty depressing feeling when you can accurately predict that your team is gonna collapse at some point in the game, but it was kinda obvious.

Decent. Seems like a good skater who likes to play in his own end and doesn't mind the rough play. It really wasn't a great game though. Latvia was playing like the Swiss do against Canada. Very boring and not a lot of chances to test guys on D to evaluate them much in this one.

That's just his personal bias. Decent, but I don't think stood out one way or another compared to the other US dmen, it was an odd game though. Most notable if I had to chose would be McAvoy.

Ya not the prettiest but that's how this tournament usually rolls, takes a game or two to get the players settled down and into the system, they will just get better from here, pretty solid line up.

Well, I expected this kind of game plan from Latvia. They were going to bunker down and make life miserable for the U.S. It worked for long stretches.

There will always be bad games at a tourney like this, there will always be weak teams but rarely have I seen a team play as poorly over 200 feet as Latvia did - not from an effort standpoint mind you.....dreadful decisions and poor execution all over the ice. I am sure our beer league team would have executed better on the 5 on 3 than they did. Horrible line changes, terrible passing....They look like they could use about three good days of practice , emphasizing the most basic elements of hockey.

I'll give USA a pass as they won a pile of faceoffs at key times and showed they have some capable players.

Minnesota has quietly a pretty decent prospect pool.

How did Fox and Parsons play? I guess kinda hard to take much from a hand like this.
