I've been on this board since I was in high school.

If people think this thread is heated, they should've seen the Vancouver 2010 gold medal game thread, or the Saskatoon WJC gold medal game thread.

Here's to a tremendous 3rd period, and maybe even some overtime to further this excellent rivalry.

It is a period like this that turns these kids into stars. The Keller's , the White's, the McAvoy's. Let's see what they got here in the third. Keller has been relatively quiet.

Great match up. But Canada's gotta stay on their feet. This is too good of a game to resort to stuff like that.

This is go time! May the best team win!

Or when Bettman rigged the lottery last year.

Chabot is over 22 minutes already. He might not come off the ice the rest of the game.

It's pretty much in coin flip territory, tournament is going to come down to one or two moments in this period.

We need to get back to the basics in the third. Dump, chase, out work, and create chances. We're not skilled enough to play how we did in the 2nd period.

I picked Canada but it's really a coin flip anything can happen. Both great teams fun to watch but in the end it doesn't mean much anyway.

They are trying to mesmerize the whole tournament with their Bruce Lee mythical moves...

LOL.

You're full of them tonight.

Same here. It's sad though because they're missing a hell of a tournament. I look forward to this every year.[/QUOTE

Totally agree. Some of the best young players on display. I love the sport so much though that like you, I cannot wait for this tourney.
There's a reason that this tournament has long been a Christmas/New Year tradition in Canada, and is now blowing up ratings wise in Sweden, Finland, Russia..

Just excellent hockey, most people look forward to December for Christmas. I look forward to it for the WJC's.

Here's to an excellent 3rd period between two great teams.
