The PA guy managed to mispronounce all of the Swiss names. Awesome.

Well, good call on starting Parsons! I think most figured this would be the "trap" game in the quarters and it played out exactly that way. U.S. will have to execute better against Russia but that's a battle for another day.

Remember in the 1st period the US were only able to score on the PP because the refs missed a call. They missed another one right after. Two clear and obvious ones. They proved to be costly. What a shame.

Hischier is the only reason the Swiss were in the game. He generated pretty much every dangerous chance.

Switzerland dominated the US all game. The only reason the US won was because of Parsons. The refs did nothing wrong.

I know right totally killed them and didn't deserve to lose this US team is not impressive at all!

Swiss player grabs Thompsons stick with his arm and goes down super easy. Highlight reel goal on the ensuing power play. Swiss did dominate 2nd and 3rd periods. Parsons not getting player of the game is an absolute travesty.

The U.S. has had their moments but like most of the teams in this tournament hasn't really been all that dominating. They've done just enough to win with strong team play and timely goal scoring/goaltending. Russia will be a tough out in the semis. Historically the U.S. does poor against them at this level and it's very tough to beat the same quality opponent twice in the same tournament.

The US coaching staff decided Parsons was the pick for the 1/4 final as I predicted. It has nothing to do with both being a Leafs or Flames pick.
