Good move. Hopefully Lou is thinking "I'll give him a few games here at the end of the season, see how he performs and wether he's ready to play regularly next season. Then I can get rid of Volchenkov/Tallinder/Harrold/Zidlicky/Whomever".

What is the 'emergency'? I thought you could only use an emergency recall if you had fewer than six healthy D?

Called up to practice and sit in the press box with Josefson and Kinkaid?

Hope he plays Saturday at home vs Florida, since I'll be there.

I believe the emergency was because we have no more call ups.

But thinking about it Josefson was our only post-lockout call-up.

I could have sworn they did away with the rule limiting callups post-deadline (mostly at Brian Burke's insistence)...which is another reason why I'm confused over this being an 'emergency recall'.

Fayne and Larsson sit, Urbom and Marty on D, Injured Kovy in net and Lou as backup goalie.

Since Marty apparently scored on Hedberg at practice last week, he should probably play wing and perhaps point on the PP.

Can't risk further injury to Kovy, so he plays inside of the opposing team's goal. But that could be dangerous if Marty is going to score, so perhaps he just stands about 15 feet in front of the opposing goal, dead center, and watches, safely, as his teammates keep the puck along the offensive boards for roughly 50 minutes of the game.
