Some Boston friends who were at the Frozen Four last week were stunned that the scoreboard clock was next to impossible to read - they were sitting in 312 Row 1.
(They were not thrilled with the plexiglass either instead of a railing)

I noticed it a couple of years ago but I thought it might have been my eyes but looking at pictures it is obvious the LED's were replaced.

Our clock at TD Garden is easily read..........sometimes painfully so

Curious do Hawks fans have the same complaint?

I'm surprised they haven't gone with a bigger scoreboard, but I guess all of the banners would get in the way of that.

It's what came up on a Google image search. :sarcasm:

I hope they don't. I've been to Tampa for a few games and the huge scoreboard is a distraction.

Boston is looking at a new board for 2018-19 which will be full 4K.

They are looking at something similar to MSG and Centre Bell but they were also impressed with the new board in Edmonton. The price of the boards has been dropping but the big expense is the control room.

Now for some reason the Bruins have changed the look of the clock for the playoffs - more room for the ads

The one at the Fieldhouse is a bit absurd (though the smaller ends are fine and can be read easily), but the UC's could be a bit bigger.
