I am still clinging to my theory that buying out Hank was the beginning of the end for Gorton in regards to how Dolan viewed him. Gorton laid out the logic and reasoning behind buying out Hank and all the sense it made I’m sure Dolan had to pinch his nose and do it while hating it. He loved Henrik.

So I’m thinking Dolan already started to get a bug up his ass about Gorton once Gorton convinced him to buy out Hank. Then when the team still sucked and Georgiev in particular sucked even worse, it made Dolan even more mad knowing he had to buy out his favorite player and all he got was another shitty season and the player they kept over him was bad too.
