Great game by Kane, thought Seto's goal was hit hat-trick

Trouba made a few more mistakes this game, but they're easily fixable. Another good game by our rooks.

Pavelec had a great game but really needs to cut down on those rebounds, but he was a big reason we won.

OUR FIRST HOME OPENING WIN!

First!
I am now unclenched.

Hope there wasn't too much of a mess. ;)

Well, that finish was more exciting than it needed to be. Not a great first, great 2nd, and a 'meh' third. Loved the battle level though - no quit tonight.

Great to see the 2nd, 3rd AND 4th lines working well. The pressure this takes off of LLW is awesome.

:handclap:

Do we really have 10GF in 2 games? I thought we were gonna concentrate on keeping the puck out of our net.

The turnover in front of the net and the whiff on the PK are the only 2 that I noticed. Other than that, the rook played great.

Very happy with this Jets team. They approached this game on a mission and they did damn well. If this Jets team approaches games in this manner, the Western Conference isn't going to be as big and bad as it is made out to be.

The Jets physical game impressed me big time tonight. They took the Kings game, played it and shoved it right back in their faces.

Evander Kane was a BEAST. LA has NO answer for him. He was huge in setting the tone out there right from the puck drop. A real leader out there on the ice.

Kane - Scheifele - Setoguchi was once again a threat. I really like Seto, he does a lot of the little things, plays physical and takes the body, was great to see him score and fit right in.

Pavelec was great and made key saves for us.

Ladd - Little - Wheeler gave us quality minutes. That one opportunity where Wheeler went in (and should have shot) but passed off to Ladd, what a set-up by Little there to get that play going. So underrated out there, so damn reliable.

Trouba was once again a stud out there. He had some mistakes but, so be it. The kid made a lot of nice plays out there tonight. A rock on the blueline for us. He carries so much composure, poise and confidence in his abilities.

Jokinen and Frolik once again solid from the 3rd line, providing us with great depth and supporting the top 2 scoring lines the way they need supported.

So far I like our approach and mentality. Maybe just maybe our Jets are maturing and turning a page here. We have a long, long ways to go as a team, but I hope this is the start of a competitive Winnipeg Jets team.

Including tonight, this was the start of 8 of our next 9 games at Home. Huge opportunity here and a chance to really establish a home identity.

Well done, JETS!!!

What up Western Conference?? :D :D :D

If anyone missed it, Jokinen's 300th was pretty snazzy:
