I probably am, but I also think it only matters if one or both goalies don't win game 6 or 7 of the playoffs.

That's all that matters at the end of the day.
What if they're so much of an issue that the team never gets anywhere near to a game 6 or 7 of a 1st round playoff series?

Being the type of player Curtis Douglas is supposed to be, most NHL organizations would launch the player into the sun after he didn't react instinctively to that situation like he's expected to react. I said a similar thing about Kerfoot from Game 6 last season. Most orgs would have had it with a player making two bonehead mistakes that demonstrably lost the game (and series) for the team.
This is false. No organization gets rid of players dor making mistakes when you are a regular. In any sport.

Dubas wanted to take this gamble. He could so he did. If it doesn't work out, the entire hierarchy needs to take a hike. As the Muskoka 5 are now in our management level. No consequences for repeating mistakes.
Overall terrible team building when you knew since 2016 you had a very special core on your hands.

I don't see the vision anymore. By 2023 they should have projected how the core would progress and have the correct ensemble around it. Flat cap is not an excuse either, there has been lots of time to adjust. This core can offset league worse save % so the flat cap is nothing in comparison.

This thread is just more of the same of what we already know. Just have to accept their mediocrity and hope the core can play at a conn Smythe level 4 rounds in a row non stop with zero help from any other team members. It is possible but way too much to ask no matter how elite.

If Ilya can dig deep and become a no.1 and a member of that core , that would be tremendous help.

Make Dubas strap on the pads and play in net tonight

Getting pucks fired at him might be the only way he learns not to get us into these messes with injured goalies

Who could have predicted this in the off-season? Literally anyone with half a brain cell. It’s not like he can stop a puck anyway, he sucks. Waste of a roster space.

haha id love this the only problem is if they have to go into the net, they would go down once, and need the training staff to pick them back up.
And how would that be different from our recent goalies?
