Agreed. I think the whole "Out of the box" thinking stuff has gone out the window since Kyle has resorted to just dealing with ex-Soo players and staff (predominantly). It shows someone who is resorting back to the safety of comfort instead of trying new things. I guess maybe getting burned in trying new things added up.It was weird with the Foligno trade, because lots of Columbus folks were saying he wasn’t healthy.
The whole premise of our front office is based on arrogance, we’re going to reinvent the winning formula. I like the moxy on one hand, nothing every changes without a certain arrogance in self, but I found the self satisfied stuff last year, end of year, to be a complete turnoff.

Exactly. I can’t believe he playing, because an abundance of caution is warranted regardless. Imagine he plays and tweaks it further, somebody’s head would roll. He left practice because he has groin discomfort, to my mind that’s the end of the discussion for tonight, it’s October.
So if Murray plays tonight after causing such a Twitter/social media uproar, is Dorian having non-liquid refreshments tonight just in case he stones them?Is it a good idea to start him after saying he had discomfort?
This might blow up in the Leafs' face if he was to get injured even worse tonight.
I wonder if Dorion will be able to keep a straight face tonight. He must be laughing his ass off knowing it only cost him a lousy 3rd and 7th and retain 25% to get rid of that contract. The checker player beat the 3D chess player.
chris johnston says hes playing
Outside fan coming in peace - that sounds like a risky thing to do, especially with Murray's history. Knock on wood it doesn't happen since I was excited about seeing how Murray would do this year with a better team, but starting him gives me visions of him being pulled mid-game after making a sliding save because the groin flared up.
I do t now how you take any chances here, just start Sam. Have him backup, but that still seems odd logic to me.If they start him one has to question their coaches and their gameday warm up routine.
Discomfort could be, not warmed up properly and feeling the strain.
Discomfort could be, an injury indication.
I have to point at coaching in one scenario, especially if he starts, and if it is injury and he plays they have a medical staff issue ... unless the player isn't honest.
Lol yep nobody knows anything about what happened but let’s freak out about him playing nowLots of "I'm not a doctor but I play one on internet forums" going on here.
It seems weird to leave a practice, your coach says he had discomfort, then play no?Lol yep nobody knows anything about what happened but let’s freak out about him playing now
We already know what happened:Lol yep nobody knows anything about what happened but let’s freak out about him playing now
"Murray had some discomfort in his groin in the morning skate so we just decided it made sense to remove him from the skate, get him assessed and that process is still ongoing," Toronto coach Sheldon Keefe said. "So we'll get him assessed this afternoon in the next little bit and make some determinations on his status for tonight based on that. It's still too early to give much on 'what-if' scenarios.
"It happened in the skate today, he was 100 percent fine (after his start against the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday)."
It would be nice to know if they have a contingency plan on Murray... If you want to gamble on him with a team this talented that's fine for regular season, but if this guy busts and is the same as he was in Ottawa, will they LTIR him or is our season just destroyed? Because it would be bizarre to gamble on 1 injury prone goalie without some type of mitigation risk strategy.
Never said fight but absolutely grab him and lift him off the ice for a little discussion...with force of course.View attachment 594335

Do you really think it had to be Douglas fighting a 5'11", 183 lb. player?
He was tradded to Chicago in the summer. The Leafs tradded down and drafted Minten.Remind me what happened with Petr Mrazek again ?
YUP, and grab a new goalie at the trade deadline to be the 1BLTIR and Robidas island and all the cap issues are gone. Give Samsonov the #1 job and hope one of the many young flyers they picked can play 20 or so half decent games

No I don’t think so we have no idea what was bothering himIt seems weird to leave a practice, your coach says he had discomfort, then play no?
