I will be disappointed if there isn't a least one protest. Ottawa is too pacifist for combat sports and seems to have a large "anti-everything" crowd.
Confirmed: Rory MacDonald vs. Stephen Thompson
Also. My biggest issue with UFC is how the fighter keep going at guys who are clearly knocked out. It makes me sick.
Get your tap out shirts on and tell your girl to put some cover up on those bruises! Time for some MMA!
(I don't actually mind MMA but there can't be a more toxic atmosphere/fanbase/culture)
That's part of the sport's appeal.
Fighters get generous bonuses for knock outs, and as such, will be very thorough on ensuring their opponents are out cold (if a fight gets to that point).
Reality, is this is what people want. Bloody, wild fights, that end with one person unconscious.
Its not for everyone, but the UFC, is far cleaner now, than it used to be.
I don't get it boxing fans love a knock out but when it comes to mma these same types say its sick.
I've been to five live UFC events - three in Montreal, one in Toronto, one in Las Vegas.
I've been in more "toxic" atmospheres at Ottawa Senators games. Hell, I've been in more toxic atmospheres at Ottawa 67's games.
Confirmed for Arena at TD Place.
