From the little I know about these players, this seems like a very strong squad. I've heard some hype for D. Ruzicka, Stich, Tlusty, Voracek, Kveton, V. Ruzicka, and Repik in the past. Anyone have any up to date comments on the potential of these players?

Are there any other players on the team with high NHL potential? Are there any players who should be great on the international junior level but might not be big NHL prospects because of size or style of play?

Finally, where's Frolik?

I think Frolik will play for U-18 team only at World U-18 championship in April in Sweden. He will play lots of games this season at various level.

This team is strong, especially offensively. Stieler, Latal, Bartos, Jebavy or Prokop are also very good prospects. Besides Frolik another good players who are missing are Lukas Lang, Tomas Zohorna or underagers Marek Benda and Ondrej Roman.

I'm glad you saw this thread. I figured you'd be the only person who could give a good answer.

Since I've got your attention, I'm curious if you could answer one more question about the Czech '88 and '89 birth years. I've looked through stats for the past several birth years (back to '82) and it seems there are a significantly larger number of high end prospects in the '88 and '89 birth years. The only year which seems to possibly have them beat is the '84 birth year. Frolik has gotten a lot of hype but I'm curious to know how guys like Kveton, Repik, Voracek and Vladimir Ruzicka compare to players like Hudler, Michalek and Olesz. Whenever you get the time I'd love to hear a reply. Thanks a lot in advance.

Yes there is a good portion of high end prospects but 84 birth had much more depth. Even 86 birth maybe had a bit better depth than 88 birth alone. But it´s still very early to say.
