Canada instead of Finland is a nightmare. A swedish team on any level has never knocked out canada. Automatic loss.
are you so sure?

Didn't see Czech's games but what were the biggest problems what Czech's had in preliminary round?.
And who's gonna win Thursday's quarterfinal Finland vs Czech Republic.
I can say that Finland has played well 4 games and 4 wins.
But those won't matter anymore it's win or go home in Thursday.
PS be proud of that Czech's made quarterfinals i don't know what their main goals but at least they reached the minimum goal ( spot in quarterfinals).
I didnt see the game against Russia. Czechs believe they can contend for medal but they obviously can not handle with that expactations + we have massive, massive gaps in our game (compare to US and Sweden for example).
Absolutely saddening to see a Swedish team so bad at scoring. All they do is skate and pass.
How many goals Sweden has down against Canada?.
Sorry, but what's your question?
How Sweden has played vs Canada?.
I don't haven't watched that game.
Sweden playing much much better than Canada. Yet Canada was somehow hanging in there. Then Strome took an absolutely dumb penalty and put his team down by 2 again.
Thanks for the info.
How's Cody Glass has played he was invisible in Finland Canada game and i had difficulties to see him on the ice.
And how's Anderson-Dolan has played he took very stupid penalty in Finland game when he hit Luukkonen straight to head behind of Finland's net.
That hit was worthy of 5+20 penalty but referees gave him only 2 minutes for goalie interference.
So i'm not surprised of that way how Canada has performed.
Maybe the playing in European ice surface doesn't fit them so well.

This is actually a sad situation for Canada. Yes, I know we don't have our best but the refusal of Hockey Canada to address the change in the game in recent years and other nations (especially the USA) to emphasize skating, puck control and positional play at the kids level has greatly hurt the development of our players.
The future of hockey now lies with American players. If you look at NHL rosters the increase in American players has been phenomenal and that will only increase.
Recent news about the change in ice size for kids hockey in Canada will help, but the US has been doing that for years.
It's not on our players, they're only as good as the development system in place. It's on the arrogant, old farts at Hockey Canada.
The plus in this game is we lose, we don't have to play the US, who would destroy us.
Even if we did have our best, we would lose to the Americans.

I would call this an overreaction. This tournament can never be a reliable indicator of what's going on in Canadian hockey. Arguably no single tournament can be that, but especially not this one. We simply can't send our best players- we're drawing on an extremely limited pool of players who are not busy in the CHL playoffs.
The US is certainly doing a great job producing talent, but I would say the future of hockey talent is not about any one nation, but about greater diversity than ever before.
Yeah yeah but Sweden didnt send Dahlin aka the guy that pwns Karlsson!
