Would NHL clubs make ALL their Jr Age guys available? If so, sounds like a Great Idea!

I have to agree with the other posters on here. Yes, you could do it, and I'm sure it would be fun, but terribly redundant, and it would actually make this tourney less meaningful.

If the World Cup returns I would love to see the Olympics become U-23.

We already get a U-20 tourney every christmas that is awesome, a U-23 tourney would be great as the next step to bridge the U-20 to Mens levels.

A U-23 would also allow us to see guys like Seguin star, who never played a U-20, and could possibly be left off Canada due to depth

I'd watch it. But I watch anything that is considered international hockey. I even watch the Spengler Cup, and that isn't really even international hockey.

It would be a bit redundant and probably just highlight the disparity of talent, though. Would be really want to beat Denmark 20-0 with four or five professional hockey players and the best of the rest?

I'd rather have a best 4 out of 7 series with the Americans. Hockey Canada and USAHockey with a no holes barred, knock down drag em out border skirmish.

I think it could be interesting if they changed up the format.

Have series of games (best 2 out of 3) or a longer round-robin type format.

Naturally, NHL GMs will be concerned about injuries before the season.

Probably would end being like the Ivan Hlinka Tournament where only Canada sends their best team.

In all honesty, every year U20 WJC only has 2-3 games of very high drama where with such World Cup potentially you can have 4-6 games that would be really good to watch. Instead of having World Cup for for men, there should be a World Cup for juniors. World Cup for men is a tournament nobody really needs due to fact that Europe already has IIHF WC and the Olympics is more than enough for the inclusion of all best players.

What I really like about the idea is having a 3-game series.

If not a world cup I think it'd be cool if just USA/Canada had a five or seven game challenge series during august.

I think the biggest problem of this would have to do with college eligibility of American players, I don't know if it would violate any NCAA rules or not but I feel like it somehow would affect these players.

I think If you shall have a U23 tournament I think you should have it far more often then every 4th year. It becoms to much random which players will be able to play in this U23 tournament if you have it only every 4th year.
