Julia's brother Eric wrote another article. He is soon going to be a more accomplished writer than actor.

I think Nolan will have more of a breakout year than Toffoli, actually.

Keep in mind I am talking about percentage of points compared to the just concluded season.

Toffoli has 23/26/49 last year. If he is breaking out, shouldn't we be looking for 30/30/60?

That wouldn't even really be breaking out. That would just be "steady improvement". This is now his third nearly-full season in the NHL. Know who else was drafted the same year as Toffoli? Taylor Hall, Tyler Seguin, Ryan Johansen, Jeff Skinner, Cam Fowler, Vladimir Tarasenko...

Toffoli might look like a baby, but it's time to strap on his big boy pants and take charge out there. :yo:

Probably a dead on prediction from a Kings point of view.

In terms of production, I don't see him regressing, but I also don't see him taking a huge step forward (offense offends). A moderate increase with an increased role and all around better play is what I expect.

Kings offense is an absolute ****show. Only person on this team I see scoring 30 goals is Carter or Gaborik.

gaborik should break 30 in a healthy year

i'm not holding my breath for anyone else on the roster - maybe carter, but that's about it.

expecting basically everyone else to be sub 25 goals

TT will need more PP time to reach some of these numbers!! However, at times he hasn't been all that great on the PP. he does have a special chemistry with Pearson, and it'll be great to see them together again. Pearson will need PP time as well.

I have a feeling they not only is the first line going to draw more attention from That 70's line, but that the Kings are going to open it up a little.

Not many teams have multiple 30 goal scorers, there's only so much offense to go around even on friggin powerhouse teams.

Most of the guys on our team that are former 30- and 40-goal scorers will settle in around the high 20s in good years and that's fine. One will break 30, if we're extremely lucky one will break 40, if we're a top of the league offense we'll maybe have two at 30. That doesn't mean they suck offensively, there's honestly just a sort of diminishing returns.

With Brown/Stoll/Williams no longer the 2nd power play unit, Toffoli should see more regular time with the man advantage. If this happens I could see his numbers going up. Key word being "should"...

Yeah, TT doing what he did without significant PP time in comparison is huge. Could see him breaking out BIG if he gets a lot of time and it clicks.

I mean, he had the 6th-most PP TOI among forwards at 1:26 per game. Brown and Williams averaged 1:30 and 1:37, respectively. Carter, Kopitar, and Gaborik were the top powerplay unit and I don't really see that changing. I do wonder what the powerplay units will look like this year, though. Kings haven't had a big body up front since Ryan Smyth's slow ass was parked in front of the net.

He can score 30 goals next year if Sutter plays him more, on the p.p. And late in the 3rd period so he'll have chances to get some empty net goals.

I think with the monster line of Looch-Kopi-Gaborik taking alot of the top assignments I can see the Pearson-Carter-TT line ALL having great years with the added motivation of not missing the playoffs, no injuries to Pears and not having to play with Stoll 60+ is reasonable but i'm not holding my breath

I'd like to see Kopitar on the point on the PP. With Gaborik, Carter and Toffoli playing as the forwards.

Probably won't happen but I think that is the best 5 guys they can have out there. Realistically they will probably keep the lines together for the PP, not crazy about having Carter on the #2 PP unit though.

Don't be surprised to find Lucic parking his ass in front of opposing goalies on the power play.
