I was reading a Bill Hoppe article about Tyler Ennis and Paul Byron's relationship, they were rookies together in Portland and lived together. Anyway in the article Ennis says he's 4 inches shorter than his listed height. That would make him 5'5" wtf

Anybody met him in person without skates on? Could he be that short?

What the hell is wrong with people? Why can't they just list the height that he actually is?

I don't get it at all..............

That doesn't seem right. I seem to remember him being significantly taller than Gerbe. I thought Ennis was about 5'8" to 5'9". Who knows.

Kevin Devine is listed at 5'8" from his playing days, but he's probably shorter now, and Darcy is 5'11" according to Wikipedia, so maybe Ennis really is 5'6"?

Not sure where Hoppe heard Ennis say he was 4 inches shorter than listed but no way is Ennis 5'5" - probably 5'6"-5'7" range

with the Draft Combine I don't understand how heights are still inaccurate, the NHL makes the Combine info public. But I've been watching the Canucks to see Brock Boeser, very surprised how short he looks, he's listed as 6'1" and there is no way he's that, he looks 5'10".

Happens a lot in sports, don't really get why. I ran into Jason Akeson last year when he was on the Amerks. Listed at 5'10", didn't look more than 5'7-8".

I play Independent baseball and I'm 5'10". Every roster I've been on since college I've been listed at 6'0"-6'1". Granted, that's because nobody wants a 5'10" right-handed pitcher and my managers are trying to help me out by beefing me up a little. But it's not like you can really hide how tall you are.
