Fellas totally agree about the Outsiders...I'm fully invested...hook line and sinker with this show.

Very very creepy show, very well acted and keeps you wanting to come back for more. I binged the first 3 episodes and was caught up for last night's 4th episode. Can't wait to see what happens next!!
I love Stephen King, but I've had a hard time getting through his "detective" works.....I still haven't finished Mr. Mercedes.

The opening scene in the very first movie in the parking lot was great!!! That hooked me immediately.
DUDE. Crazy powerful. Especially given that the audience sees no actual violence.

I transitioned from the movie to the first season of the show, since that seems to be the chronologically correct sequence – but I gotta say, they obviously had a stylist changeover between the two, because Pearce looks way more haggard in the series.

(Not that it's a problem; it works.)

A lot of people were not aware of the movies when the series started -- I thought it odd they started series as Season 3....had me thinking I'd missed a lot...only to find out the movies were the previous seasons.

The stylist thing actually works....in the movies, he's suave....the series shows what he became.

I'm not familiar with Mr. Mercedes nor am I necessarily a big Stephen King fan to be frank. But this particular series on HBO gives just the right amount of creepiness, supernatural stuff vs reality. It's really well done so far. Now who knows, maybe it jumps the shark before too long but for now, I'm chomping at bit for next espisode with for me is my tell tale sign a show is really good.

This is the way I felt when I first watched Peaky Blinders 4 years ago. Same way I felt when I started watching Homeland 7 years ago as I can't wait till a few weeks from now when the last season of that series begins.

Peaky Blinders is on my list of things I need to watch. Am currently 1 episode from finishing Spy and just started Britania.

Peaky Blinders should not just be on your list it should be at the top of said list. And that goes for the rest of y'all in here who haven't seen it.

If your not hooked by the very first scene of the very first episode with Cillian Murphy, well than you might as well not bother than...lol

Oh, so the second movie is series 2? Crap, then I did skip something.

What's the proper order in terms of timeline?

Never got past season 1 of Homeland...Carrie got on my nerves.

My apologies...I was wrong about the series numbering.

There were 3 movies. The first two movies were in 2012 (aired a week apart). The third movie was aired in 2014. The official series came in 2016.

Some label the movies as Season 1 -- I suspect this is because they three were rebroadcast before the series began. Others don't count the movies as being a series.

I watched Mercedes mainly for Harry Treadaway....

Looks interesting. That show will go to the top of my backlog haha.

I just finished watching Don't F*ck With Cats and it was good. The last episode, in particular, was well done.

I've been thinking about this....I seem to recall some people thought the third movie was Season 2 because it was 2 years after the first two.

Really enjoyed the Civilisations docuseries narrated by Liev Schreiber.

Also found the vegan documentary The Game Changers compelling (even if at times eye-rolling: "“Even iceberg lettuce has more antioxidants than salmon or eggs.”). Inspired me to trial a pescatarian diet.

Overall a MUCH healthier lifestyle, not sure I could do it though good for you.

My wife and I made it towards the end of Season 1, but the 'woe-is-me' water works every 10 minutes was just too damn much for us and we gave it up
Damian Lewis was the only reason I watched that show.

Homeland Season 1 was really good. Without spoiling anything, they had an opportunity to end the Brody storyline really nicely in the secure bunker at the end of S1. The plot very quickly jumped the shark after that and left me wondering why any of the main characters are continually allowed anywhere near codeword information.

Not sure how many seasons of Homeland you’ve seen but I will agree that 2 of the 7 weren’t up too par. However the last 3 seasons in my view after a few bumpy seasons have been excellent with the acting of Mandy Patankin and Claire Danes and their complicated relationship still one of the main reasons to watch the show.

As I just posted, you gave up on the show too soon. The past 3 seasons have been pretty darn riveting after a few speed bumps along thevway and I’d expect this years final season too go out with a bang literally!...lol

That good?

Yes it is. Not sure what floats your boat but if your like me and loved the Sopranos HBO series and the movie Goodfellas, well combine the two of them and transport yourself to 1920’s Birmingham, Great Britain and you have yourself a pretty good idea of what Peaky Blinders is about and why it’s one of my top 10 TV series of all time and why I might be recommending it to those of y’all who haven’t seen it yet.

I loved the Sopranos -- never had any interest in seeing Goodfellas.

Sorry Max -- 8 years of Carrie ain't my idea of fun.

I am curious to know how Mandy Potamkin lasted through the entire series....he's left and/or been thrown off every previous series within a year or two.
