Hmm. Just seems like the first part of the graphic novel but animated this time. Might check that out. But for real, to anyone who hasn't read or watched anything related to The Watchmen, just read the graphic novel. You can get it for 15 to 20 bucks and it legit will take you one night and it's one of the best, arguably THE best, comic ever written.

Agreed. I bought it the day it came out in 1986.

The best? I don’t know. Brubaker, Bendis, Snyder (Scott not Zach) etc… have written a bunch of really great stuff.

imho it's the best DC or Marvel superhero graphic novel.

I mean listing those dudes is almost acting like Alan Moore isn't in that league. It really is that mainstream comics are only just now coming out of the world he helped usher in, and again arguably spearheaded.

If you wanted my honest opinion though, as far as superhero adjacent work, it is the best.

My personal favorite book, Sandman.

Best thing I ever read, Spiegelman's Maus.

It really is that mainstream comics are only just now coming out of the world he helped usher in, and again arguably spearheaded. If you wanted my honest opinion though, as far as superhero adjacent work, it is the best. My personal favorite book, Sandman. Best thing I ever read, Spiegelman's Maus.

Agreed. DC deserves credit for giving Moore & Gaiman an opportunity to influence American hero & non-hero books. Vertigo was a huge influence on American horror books from the big two & the indies.

I guess it all comes down to personal preference? My "The Best" would be Brubaker.

Yeah, it's really personal preference. I loved Snyder's Batman run, Brubaker's Daredevil and Captain America runs, Miller's Batman (really changed the comic landscape forever), some of the Loeb/Sale Batman runs, etc...

Yeah that's really the reality. There is just so much good stuff out there. Too much to be honest. Haha

Brubakers Captain America. Miller and Leob Batmans. Gaiman. Moore. Vaughan. Kirkman. Ennis. Too much stuff and too little time.

Man, I just watched Joker: Folie a Deux and goddam was it horrendous. Insanely boring, undermines the entire first film, over long, dull, disappointing and - while a musical could have been fine, even great for Joker - it was totally flat and devoid of any high moments at all.
