A door slammed shut the other night at about 1am and the sensor for the closet lights turns them off/on constantly. Shit is getting weird

I think it was a door that slammed anyway. This house makes so many weird noises and it’s just getting worse as the cold sets in. I’m assuming it was a basement door. I think a tiny little tilt in window was open due to somebody taking a shower downstairs, so maybe overnight there was a shift in the pressure and it pushed/pulled a door closed. I haven’t been able to figure it out yet

But between the closet sensor lights, all the creaks and cracks, and the huge crash of a door slamming shut, sleeping has been difficult in this house so far.

I either gotta find the hobo that’s hiding in the attic, or make fast friends with Casper. Not sure which is preferred.

At least I get the "extra hour" on the weekend I move to my new place.

I somehow doubt it will make any difference considering I'm essentially a perpetual insomniac these days.

The good news is, there are five guys from church coming to help me move, plus my brother, niece, and nephew, plus another friend. Shouldn't take long at all. No stairs, and no appliances, pianos, or grandfather clocks

But then comes the unpacking :help:

With kids in the house, it just means they wake up at 5 instead of 6. I don’t save a single minute

We are expecting severe weather later and I am in no mood to pack my to go bag in case I have to head into the stairwell. The feeling that I'm going to forget something important stresses me out.

Don't know what's worse: sitting at the DMV or being on a phone call with Social Security for 2 hours.

Either way.
