TSN published the top 50 players under the age of 24.

There were 0 Jets that made the list for top young players. Players that were eligible and could remotely be considered are:

Cole Perfetti (22)
Ville Heinola (23)
Brayden Yager (19)
Brad Lambert (20)
Elias Salomonsson (20)

For me, certainly an argument could be made to see Cole on this list.....but to me, this season has been very bland for him and not really standing out in any kind of great way. Looking at the bottom of these rankings, do you feel that he should of made the list, and where would you slot him in?

He's a victim of being on an excellent team on the second line. He doesn't get the same usage as most anyone else on the list so he doesn't stand out as much.

Put him on the top pp unit and line one and he likely cracks the list easily.

It's why I don't really care about these lists. They don't take things like team strength and role into consideration when making them.

I also find it hilarious that non NHL players are included and ranked over proven top 6 caliber young players.

No Perfetti, Peterka, Byfield, Lundell, Neighbours or Beniers, but Easton Cowan and Matthew Knies are there and a bunch of guys that are still playing junior? Sounds about right for TSN (Toronto Sports Network)

Knies has been great this year and Cowan is on a 56 game point streak. Not saying it's a great list, but this is a poor way to show it.

The fact the McMichael with a ppg season is 50th says it all. Like who would you rank higher, a top 6 forward now or someone who could be that in a few years. It doesn't really make sense
