Nice summary read.

This made me lol for some reason:

"What I said the Kings needed last year: Two top nine forwards.

They added: Jake Muzzin."

Then he changes it to all we need is a top 4 defenseman now.

Lots to disagree with what the guy said both about the team and our prospects but here is his line up.

My Custom Lineup

Dustin Brown ($3.175m) / Anze Kopitar ($6.800m) / Justin Williams ($3.650m)

Dwight King ($0.750m) / Jarret Stoll ($3.250m) / Matt Frattin ($0.488m)

------
CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter)
(these totals are compiled with the bonus cushion)
SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $62,746,894; BONUSES: $135,000
CAP SPACE (23-man roster): $1,688,106

His D pairings aren't likely to happen but it is a foundation for how we could look next season. It isn't likely to be how we do actually look but as far as guesses go he made one.

No possible way will we carry 8 dmen. One of A Mart Kbert or Willie will be gone with certainty. That said, we are under the cap and by a good bit even if you go by his projections, which you can't really do.

Swap Frattin and Toffi.

LTIR Willie and we have $5.188.106 to sign a vet to replace Scuds (if he won't come back) and a bit over $1m to spare.

You read that wrong. Our Cap Payroll is actually only $57,796,894, which currently gives us $6,638,106 in cap space and an average of $1,106,351 per player opening. What you posted was our Salary payroll of $62,746,894 which is what the team is actually paying out, but not all of that goes against the cap.

Edit: Forget it I see what you were doing now. Just estimating that we are going to resign all those free agents. I'll just leave now.
